    Xdrox, what do you use to polish the parts?

    Also, what advantage does the VQ hammer give you and how/why?

      I use a dremel and polishing compound.

      The VQ trigger will drop the pull down from 8lbs to 3lbs. It has different angles than the factory trigger.

      It's very important to not change any of the angles on any of the parts. But with a dremel and polishing wheel it would be really hard to do so. And after trigger jobs you should only load one or two rounds at a time just in case it goes fully auto.

          I LOVE my 10/22 Kidd trigger, 1.5 pound trigger, very crisp.
          TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
          The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
          Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
          Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
          The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
          The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
          The best lack all conviction, while the worst
          Are full of passionate intensity.

            I am not looking for a match grade trigger nor can I tolerate the expense of such, what are my options?

            Toy4Ricck,

            I prefer using just my stock trigger and concentrating on proper trigger pull. Besides that a little oil and Moly paste is all you need in my opinion.

                Start by giving your weapon a detail strip cleaning. You may merely have an accumulation of dust/grime. That's the cheapest option and it MAY fix the problem. If not, go with xdrox's post and do a little careful polishing. That's a barely any money option and MAN he did a nice job showing it, didn't he? From there the cost only goes up in inverse proportion to how light and crisp you want the trigger to be.
                9mm and 45acp are equally lousy. There's not a dime's worth of difference in REAL terminal ballistics. Get over it.
