    semi-cheap bipod reviews?

Trying to get a bipod for a Marlin 795 I'm gonna buy in about 2 months (figure I'd start buying some goodies for it before I buy the gun on my BDAY to spread out the costs). I've heard mixed reviews about Walmart bipods and I don't think I'm really ready for a Harris (budget constraints and I don't really need a top of the line bipod for my first 22 which will sadly not be shot as much as I like considering my location in the urban jungle). So I was wondering if you all had some recommendations for a medium-end, decently priced bipod that won't see a whole lot of rough terrain and action but won't crap out the first time I use it?

The Shooters Ridge Rock Mount series is pretty durable. You dont get some of the cool features you will find in a Harris but they are only like $40. They dont have the spring loaded extensions like the Harris or the pivoting feet ect, but if you are just shooting it off the bench I think the Rock Mount will serve you well.

I have this one on my 10/22 and works really well. I plan on ordering one or two more soon.

I honestly love my bi pod that I bought at Wal Mart. It functions perfectly and I have never had any issues with it.

UTG makes very sturdy bipods from 20-30 dollars. Springs, construction and overall build quality is excellent. The 6"-8" combat height is a bit low. The 8"-12" is a better overall performer. Amazon has the higher end Harris copy for 30 shipped. The biggest between them is the Harris has the cant L-R which is great for quick uneven deploy and shoot type situations. For a sit and wait situation both are leg height adjustable.

I bought an NcStar. Found it on ebay. Reasonable price, and works well. It came with 3 adapters, which I probably don't need, but...

I also have one of their scopes. Pretty decent prices, glass is clear, good focus, no distortion around the edges, comes with all the bells and whistles. http://www.ncstar.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=26

I used one of these for two years. It held up fine.

I have a $20 harris-style bipod on my airsoft rifle... i got it off amazon, and its one similar to the ones linked... i dont remember exactly which one it was, but i've had it for more than a year and it still works flawlessly

Just bite the bullet and get a Sinclair bipod. I bet you'll have the only 795 out there with one.

You can get those harris knock off ones at the gun show that all the tactical AR vendors sell. They usually range from 30$ - 80$ depending on how much the vendor is trying to make a profit off you.

I got one at the last gun show and the quality is quite excellent
