Haven't seen the S&W Model 48 mentioned. It's a DA .22 mag revolver. My father has one, it's fun to shoot, but about every 36 shots or so the chambers get fouled up and it becomes hard to eject the spent casings.

North American Arms .22 mag with 1 1/8 barrel. Not bad ballistics for a true mouse gun. Basically you get .22 long rifle performance from a very small hideout gun... not ideal, but beats the crap out of a knife or fists. btw TOTALY FUN TO SHOOT. You kinda hold the grip between palm and "bird finger" using index finger for trigger ... sounds weird but it is the way to use it. The NAA site has some pretty cool performance data regarding their little pistols and the cartridges they use.

resurrected eh. Exciting new developments. CCI gamepoint, a solid combo of penetration and expansion chrono'ed ~1350 fps out of a bearcat 4" custom 22 mag.

says good for small game. Practice the spur cocking on your convertibles and you'll be surprised how quickly followup shots come with the negligible kick. Never had a fail to anything on a rimfire SA revolver, cant say the same bout a pretty well regarded centerfire.

3-4 months from now speer gold dot 22 mag ~1100 fps out of a 2" barrel. and Hornadys new stuff, 45 gr. JSP ~1000 fps NAA 2" should become available. SA revolver ergo's suit me better than any semi centerfire i've tired (well tied with glock, yep thats what i said =). The distinction between small bore SA Rs and large bore is blurring.

Saffron, my .22 mag follows me around the house. Miranda, the centerfire, not so much.

I've got both the Heritage Arms Rough Rider and an Old Version Ruger Single Six. Both guns come with two cylinders (S/L/LR & Mag). The Ruger is definitely better built than the Heritage, but they are both fun as hell. The front sight on my Heritage was waaay off too, but pliers fixed that. Shot magnum out of both and love it, but will probably stick to LR's due to the cost. CB caps are fun to shoot out of the revolvers too. Cheap and quiet.

just buy a bunch of dynapoints. ~15 cents per shot and I would quantify it as about 2.5-3 x as much fun per shot. breaks about even.

I cant speak for Heritage since I dont have one but my Ruger SS is great. Shoots anything and is accurate to boot.

So you resurrected an old thread to tell us something about a 22 mag auto pistol that is not approved, and most likely will never be approved, in Kalifornia.

I just think that resurrecting an ancient thread about a 22 magnum REVOLVER only to inform all of us about a 22 magnum SEMI AUTO KELTEC PMR 30 that none of us will ever get a chance to own or shoot is asinine.

My buddy is "giving" me his family's old circa 1959 Hi-Standard Double Nine. Full size(5.5" barrel, 11.2" overall) cowboy style .22 revolver, but with a swinging cylinder. They were available in convertible versions as well. This is a great little gun. Check one out if you can find one.
