You couldn't be more wrong.
There are NO laws that prohibit using 10+ capacity magazines in a rimfire rifle.
Same goes for centerfire pistols and rifles. There are only two times I can think of when you are prohibited from USING a 10+ capacity magazine.
(1) when you are using a bullet button on a centerfire, semi-auto rifle with evil features you are limited to 10 rounds or less.
(2) when you are using anything like the AR or AK type pistols, you must have a bullet button and you are limited to 10 rounds.
Consult the Calguns flow charts for further clarification.
There are however, laws regarding the import, manufacture, sales, gifting, lending.....etc of large capacity magazines.Kevin

it was a typo, and has been fixed. I meant to say, "there is NO law...".You couldn't be more wrong.

I am very familiar with the flowcharts since the handgun and shotgun charts were my creation, and helped adjust the rifle flowchart so that the new version covers rimfire rifles as well as centerfire rifles.Jack

That is, assuming you were in possession of said high capacity magazine prior to 2000 ban. I believe it's pretty much a given that we cannot manufacture, import, etc. hi-cap mags.

I'm aware your operative term here is "USING". Just want to clarify things for those not so well versed in CA gun laws.Comment
