I remember back befor the crazy ammo freak out, walmart sold those federal 550 boxes for $12.88 + tax

Couple weeks ago, walmart in orange had a HUGE shipment of ammo, but the new black guy behind the counter limited it to 3 boxes of ammo per customer. I think it was his own rule, he said he wanted the people who didnt know they had ammo get a chance to come down and get some..(they always have ammo in stock that never gets sold, just usually not as much)

My local Big5 let me buy 10 packs of 550 Rnd 22lr just the other day.. I could have bought more, but I thought I'd leave some for the next customer. I asked the store owner to give me their old sale price of $18 and they did. It's a small town.

$18 per box, in stock, and no limit, I'll take it.

              $19 a box? I'm glad I bought extras at $11.97 a box a couple years ago.

yep. The resellers helped(a lot) to push the prices to that level.

That was CHEAP but at $19 will be very cheap in the future. Looking back 10 years from now... It was one heck of a deal at $19. Perhaps it will be selling for $50-60.. who knows....

                    Ok,

I have been stopping by the Walmart in City of Industry for the past few days to a week or so. Anyway, it was empty for weeks and now i saw 10 bricks of Rem (550 rounds) and 20 Federal (550 round bricks). I got 6 bricks and I am a happy man. The price is the same for the Rem and Fed $18.95. Get some before all gone.

The warnings been sounded many times, It was $8.99 not too long ago, look for it to increase until demand or metals market speculation calms down. By now, no crying later.

I'm just glad that we're finally seeing some ammo on the shelves and the re-selling "for Profit" is dying off. I know it's all about supply and demand but it sucked to see bunch of Calgunners being taken advantage of.

So I say, as long as the price of ammo at WM is less than the "scalper's price", it's all good.

and up until 2007, it was still under 10 dollars. I have boxes from 2006 for 9 dollars a box.

My local WM in Aliso Viejo has not had a Bulk Pack on its shelf in I dont know how long. I usually stop by after visiting my gf at her work and I actually dont ever remember seeing a bulk pack there. They do have CCI Mini Mags($6.50 for 100) and Stingers($5 for 50) good price on the Mini Mags I thought. I ended up buying 600 rounds of the minimags and there was still plenty left. They also had some 50 round boxes for 1.99 but I looked at the bullets and they all were loose when i twisted them so I decided to skimp on them.
