Wheres the ultimate 22lr round???!!

Yes, as Watermelons are the most aggressive in the fruit and vegetable world. If your round will stop a watermelon then you can surely handle carrots, tomatoes or beets should they attack.

I was thinking of testing stopping power against a watermelon that looks like this.

The OP asked for opinions and in fact said any input is appreciated. I would defer to the OP, not hijack the thread, and allow people to express their concerns about .22 LR and self defense being used in the same sentence. .22 LR should only be used in suppressed super secret stealth weapons and fired by trained uber "operators". For the rest of us we have to defer to Calibers like 10mm, .45, .38, .357 and god forbid 9mm. All of which, if you can believe it, come in packages smaller than whats in your speedo now

I'm opposed to people chiming in and asking "why don't you carry a 50 BMG pistol instead of a 22LR". I don't want to hear the pros and cons of other calibers. I just want to hear about which 22LR would work best in a defensive situation.

P.S. your statement "All of which, if you can believe it, come in packages smaller than whats in your speedo now". All I can say is: Why are you so concerned about my package?
