Help me! I ruined my GSG 5

I took my GSG5 SD today. Had fun with it so I thought she deserves a good cleaning. I have th GSG 1st Anniversary Edition Ti finish. I sprayed the inside with Winchester brand Break Free. Then I noticed some gray paint on my gloves. When I checked, the finish started dissolving. I panicked (literally!). Now I do not know what to to. Check pics. Pls give advise. Thanks

That's a crappy finish. Sorry about that. Call the importer for help.

Man... the only spray I know that would dissolve finishes especially metal is "Easy-Off Oven Cleaner". That stuff is way too strong. I would contact the importer or ATI

Ouch, I can feel the hurt from here. My only idea is that if the manufacturer won't help you then you might as well strip all the finish and either leave it uncoated, or refinish it in something that will last.

I do know that Norse Armory in Woodland does various refinishing from parkerizing to duo coat.

I have the Titanium finish also, I plan on Duracoating mine in tactical black. If ATI doesn't do anything for you I would go the Duracoat route, I would hope they take care of you though.

realistically you sprayed something with the dissolving power of brake cleaner onto something with the durability of krylon paint. Finish removing the factory paint and then duracoat you weapon. ATI has a disclaimer in the box stating that certain cleaners such as the one you used will ruin the finish.
