Phoenix Arms 22LR ???

Well I bought the .22 HP at Turners last Saturday for the $120 price. I can't believe Tax, DROS, and the lock came out to $40 . Anywhoo, I called up Phoenix Arms today and I order the Deluxe Kit Box, the cleaning kit, the 5" Barrel upgrade kit, and 4 extra mags with the extension grip. The lady on the phone said that they don't charge for shipping if you order the barrel upgrade and since I bought so much stuff, they threw in a free holster. Ithink she said it came out to $132 or so.

Now I basically have everything in the Deluxe Kit. I also wanted to keep the original Mag stock so I can hand over the dainty little gun in its original form to my Husky set friends and say "You get to shoot the Noisy Cricket". .

Well out the door for me would be $190 with the 5" barrel, extra mag, and the new gun of course.

I have some zebrawood sitting around, so i'll be making some grips for it as soon as i get the gun to trace em up!
If nobody else is gonna make it.... shoot i might as well =)

great buy. I am going to have to go pick up some more magazines. I just bought two, one for the girlfriend and one for me.

I wonder if they allow pick up since they aren't too far from me.

My buddy has the 5" too, and the accuracy is vastly improved.

Great data - I wish i saw that before I bought the pistol. I am hoping the fixed the design flaws.

Wow! these phoenix arms .22 sold out so quick! I went to Turners yesterday in hopes to purchase one and they are all out!

yup.. I got to turners around 8:05am... i was in line for about 30 min .. they sold out IN LINE.. i think the guy behind me got the last one.

Wow, when I bought mine on Saturday, everyone was too busy snatching up all of the pistol cases, rifle cases, and range bags. No one even batted an eye at any of the pistols they had on sale. I wonder if reinforcing the area that cracks would void the warranty.

I paid the $160 and get to wait "6 to 10 weeks" for the next shipment, how's that for a cooling down period? Once it gets here, I get to wait another 10 days for DROS. I'm going to do my best to just forget about my little purchase. This will definitely be a lesson in patience.

I want one of these...is that a lock on the bottom of the magazine I see (in redcliff's post)?

I bought one a year ago for around $200 at Gun World in Burbank, I shot too many Stingers with mine and the frame broke at the top of the magwell. Pheonix arms replaced it free, but had to do all paperwork and wait 10 days again. You can modify the gun so that the saftey and mad release work normally by removing the left handgrip and modifying it slightly, it's easy to do and instruction can be found on the web

"The first thing was to remove the left side grip panel and the safety lever, then file off the lower left corner where it slips in under the mag release button. Now the magazine can be removed regardless of what position the safety is in. The next modification was to bend the magazine/safety interlock up and out of the way, so as not to block movement of the safety from SAFE to FIRE when the mag is removed. The slide can now be retracted with the magazine removed to enable clearing of the chamber, now the safety works the same way it does on any other pistol.
These modifications can be performed in about 15 minutes with a file and a small screwdriver."
