I thought Phoenix Arms was a Canadian company that went out of business years ago...

They were never based in Canada. Maybe because they are located in Ontario CA, you may have confused it with Ontario, Canada.

I have one. buy it, then spend the $70 for the range kit or at least the $25 for the 5" barrel and you'll be GTG! only problem i have is with FTE sometimes. use good ammo and keep it clean and it's no prob. WORD OF WARNING!!: the safeties take getting used to!!! it's a good gun though, buy it and enjoy!

BTW: MADE IN ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA!! this is the company that bought out Raven Arms....well, it was the guy who owned Raven Arm's sons anyways....

ok.. so the Range Kit is pretty much the 5" barrel, extra mag, and a cleaning kit with a case... I think i'll stick with just the 5" kit. someone posted a link for $35 or so.

Well the kit contains the extended base magazine which make's holding the mousegun more comfortable. I'd like to just get a few of the extended base magazines. As for the 5in barrel, I don't know if there is any improvement in accuracy.

I have the HP22 in satin nickel and it's a great little .22 for the money. 500 rds and never jammed. Paid $100 for mine 18 months ago, so $120 is a great price for CA. I've seen them for as much as $225 in a small CA gun shop.

I have the target kit mag with the finger extension floor plate. The extension would help if you had big hands, but it does add a noticeable amount of bulk to such a small pistol.

I'm not aware if any, but I have seen people who have made their own on other forums: http://www.bryco-jennings-jimenezarm...pic.php?t=2641

I would jump at the chance to get a set of walnut grips for my HP-22.

It's kind of cool that Phoenix Arms recently entered the 21st Century by launching their own website, so you can order mags and accessories directly from them: http://www.phoenix-arms.com/index.html

It's kinda funny that Turner's is selling this gun brand new for $119...
but in their on-line consignment section, they have one listed for $224.99.

I'm glad I bought the new one!

But yea I'd also be interested if anyone else comes across any other accessories or tips (good one on the grips, by-the-way) for improvement of this (hopefully) dollar saver!

Owner decides the price not Turner's.

My buddy has the 5" too, and the accuracy is vastly improved. range kit is good because it comes with cleaning stuff, extra mag, extra barrel, another lock for the gun, and the case is molded to hold everything and is locking too with a specific key that also works on the extra gun lock. It's a good way to keep the gun all together and have everything you need to use it at hand.....except for your bulk ammo packs enjoy it, i payed just under $200 out the door for mine.....an extra $25 would have gotten me the kit but the guy didn't tell me it came with two barrels and i liked the 3" better on display.....should have asked more questions cuz now i gotta pay alomst $70 for the kit.... oh well, live and learn
