The difference is that the Nordic Components chassis is machined aluminum and built with quality in mind.

The Tapco T6 system is a piece of crap.

          625 MSRP for a 22LR?

I am still waiting for them to bring back the 10/22 magnum.

The ability to use 10/22 mags is great, but the MSRP isn't so hot and the 6.5lb weight didn't excite me either.

Still waiting to see the S&W M&P 15-22.

A magazine disconnect only applies to handguns.

Ruger's MSRP's are always REALLY high and the street price is always much lower.

Look at the SR-556, the MSRP is $2K and the street is around $1500.

My issue was mainly the weight as I anticipate my little guy shooting it a fair bit. I expect street price to be a fair bit lower.

Willing to wait and see to compare this to the S&W. I was unhappy with the Umarex/Colt .22 I handled.

Looks like it comes with the same muzzle brake flash hider thingy that the SR-556 comes with.
According the review it doesn't have a threaded barrel:

The barrel is attached to the receiver with a V-block, like on all 10/22 rifles, so any barrel that is made to fit a 10/22 will slide right in. The barrel is fitted with an AC-556 flash suppressor, as mentioned above, which has a standard 1/2x28 thread, allowing the attachment of sound suppressors or other devices to the muzzle, if desired.

So it's a 10/22 with a Nordic kit on it?
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
