its the 6 position or the 4 position from amazon? Is the buffer tube (well I guess its not a real buffer tube) metal or plastic?

Changed the sites around and added a couple parts. Measures 31 1/3" long closed and a 35 1/3 extended.






I bought a nice little carry bag that looked to fit the GSG perfectly. It would have if I got that other stock that brings it down closer to 26". So with that said I have to use my rifle bag to move it.

Is that stock 4 or 6 position though? I emailed the guy in the ebay link and he said the tube is made of plastic, I believe the 4 position is made of aluminum? Maybe this is the difference between Airsoft and regular stocks? I'd rather have 4 position and aluminum tube than 6 position airsoft. It's hard to tell what your ordering until you get it

Anyone know if a real M4 mil spec stock will fit over the buffer tube?

He also states that these are not airsoft parts. I would pay the difference for better quality, but not if I don't have to! I think the 6 position stocks are airsoft parts, but I'm basing that off a reply from a guy on ebay saying that the buffer tube for his 6 position gen2 was plastic. (Perhaps he was also referring to the stock itself?) I don't know, but I did ask specifically about the tube and he said it was plastic.....

I want to be sure I get the right one because I don't want to have to buy twice. Theres too many airsoft replicas out there to know which is airsoft and which is made for GSG-5. Sometimes its ok to trade them out, but I want a better quality stock.

Shadow, is the buffer tube (or fake buffer tube) plastic or metal? How many positions does it lock in? 4 or 6?

Interesting enough they both weight 1 lb 2 Oz. You need to confirm that with the seller to see if it is in fact aluminum core.

Trust me, I feel you on your pain about air soft parts, I like the m4 look too and I dont want to pay $90 for plastic airsoft parts

The stock is plastic, but the tube is aluminum (similar to M4 stock on an AR). I certainly don't want the airsoft if it is hollow plastic, or really, even solid plastic for that matter when an aluminum tube is available.

Buddy, i read what it said, i just suggest asking the seller for confirmation. The weight is listed exactly the same as the plastic one, so there is a reason to ask for confirmation from both parties. Either he is wrong about the weight, or about the details of the parts, or the other sellers have the same item that failed to specify that the core is aluminum. sorry for the "anal" analysis.

I think shadow can help us out by telling us if his stock's core is plastic or aluminum.

Well I jsut contacted another seller listing the 4 position as the same weight as well and he said it is carbon steel, contacted the seller of the 6 position again and asked them if it was made for GSG5 or if it is an airsoft part. The one for $120 specifically says it is not air soft, of course its the most expensive too.
