Ruger Super Wrangler

My Stainless Single Six came with wood grips. They were smooth--no checkering, so a little slippery. I bought a set of Rosewood grips direct from the Ruger store. They have light checkering and a nicely made by Altamont for Ruger. They made a big difference.

I bought my Single Six before the Wrangler came out, but even if the Wrangler was available, I would have still picked the "Six", despite the much higher cost because it's a refined design of high quality.

Well the super wrangler has a big blade front sight. Small target's are out.
I'm thinking about cutting the blade down. To see the small target's.
Shooting the Magnum is expensive. But the long rifle cylinder is cheep.
It's a fun plinker.

I hope the Super Wrangler is more accurate and precise than the Wrangler. The Wrangler is terrible in that regard.

Do you think that's partly due to the none adjustable basic sights on the first Wrangler?

My Single Sixes have basic fixed sights and are very accurate.

I have a New Model Single Six and the manual says to use a "six-o'clock" hold. I have thousands of rounds through my gun so I can verify this is true,

With the "six-o'clock" you put the top of the front sight at the lower edge of your target. Picture a circle sitting on top of the front sight.

The Wrangler may be set up in a similar way. That way you can see the small target. Try it.

Shot my Super Wrangler for the first time today shoots very accurately in 22lr and in 22 mag. Definitely satisfied with my purchase
