    Rimfire Carbine Magazines

    Hello, hows everyone's day going?

    I have been watching the rimfire carbines like the Sig and GSG come on the market now for a couple years. I didn't pay any attention to them because the first thought through my head was, "No way in hell those are CA legal". I recently found out that they are indeed legal. My question is what is the legality of the hi-cap magazines? does the fact that it is a rimfire negate the 10 round limit? I saw a gun smith at my local gun shop walking through the store with a titanium GSG MP5sd that had a 22 round clip in it. Was this for a LEO or something or is it legal?

      most likely it was for a LEO or it was blocked to 10 rounds due to lack of factory 10 rounders.

      10 round limit applies to all firearms, except if it uses a tube fed ammo storage

          Guess I'm buying the GSG5pk model ( http://www.impactguns.com/store/medi...5pk_pistol.jpg ). If it is only going to hold 10 rounds it might as well be compact Thanks for the info scratch .

              Rimfire firearms can have as many evil features as you like (AW law don't apply to rimfire).

              That being said, magazine capacity is a separate issue. The 10 round limit applies to all firearms regardless of caliber. That is unless you owned the magazines before the ban, or have the LE exemption.

              Its not uncommon to see 10 round magazines pinned for the GSG. Havn't seen it done for the Sig, but haven't been looking either.

                  the PK model needs to have a bullet button. since it doesn't meet the 26" OAL requirement. if i remember correctly.

                          What I would love to see while were talking about GSG here is a PSG-1 GSG . A heavier and longer match grade barrel, cheek-rest butt-stock, 6x scope would make a nice little target rifle .
