I see it as a poor mans fire and maneuver training tool for 25yds or so. No it's not likely to be as robust as the real thing but it has the same look and feel and you can practice all day for $15. I want one. Oh and the S&W takes any mil-spec stock and any AR15 trigger so you can make a near clone of your HD weapon for cheap training. I want one."Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." --FREDERIC BASTIAT--

I just got this email from S&W...
The M&P15 rifle line has expanded to now include the new M&P15-22. Chambered in .22LR, the M&P15-22 rifle is built with high strength polymer upper and lower receivers. This creates a reduced weight rifle that retains the looks and operating features of the standard M&P15 rifle. The M&P15-22 will be available in August 2009 and the fixed-stock Compliant model October 2009. Order now from your favorite local dealer!

They have an AR style .22 at Sportsmans Supply in Cambell I didn't notice the manufacture but they also have some GSG MP5 type rifles there too ranging from 550 - 700 depending on blued or SS"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." -- George WashingtonComment

I'm on S&Ws email list, so I was only posting what they sent me this am...
I'm not ordering one as I have a few Spikes Uppers/dedicated rifles and do not think this will be any better then what I already have. I'm interested in hearing/reading from those who do have one or have shot it though.
I would not recommend Huntingtons due to their pricing.Comment

Well I just got off the phone with s&w rep and he was quite rude and told me the compliant edition won't be coming out til next year due to back orders......Comment

back orders of what?
and i thought CA only needed the 10 rd mag to be compliant. since the compliant edition they are releasing has the stock fixed fully extended.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... Not ordering from those clowns again.Originally posted by PrepperGunShopTruthfully, we cancelled your order because of your lack of civility and your threats ... What is a problem is when you threaten my customer service team and make demands instead of being civil. Plain and simple just don't be an a**hole (where you told us to shove it).Comment
