HK MP5 22lr new release

The MP5 submachine gun is easily the most famous of all HK gun designs. Now you can get the authentic look, feel and features of the legendary HK MP5 in a semi-automatic .22 LR. HK has partnered with Umarex of Germany to bring you the only HK-authorized rimfire versions of the legendary MP5. So, whether you’re looking for an economic, but serious sub-caliber trainer, or just want the coolest .22 LR fun gun on the range, look no further.

Question for those running a red dot on these.
I’m running a Sig Romero 1 on mine with the AR riser, it’s see through so I have access to the iron sights too. But I’m not crazy about how high it sits on the gun.
I’m thinking about going with the low mount, my concerns are a cluttered sight picture and not co witnessing. I’m probably going to try it that way next time I hit the range. Especially now that I have five mags, constantly loading one mag was a pain, darn gun empties them in seconds.
Interested in knowing how you all run yours, likes and dislikes based on optic height. Never owned a MP 5 type gun before, so this is all pretty new to me.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

I thought when I put a TRS25 on mine that with no mount it was at a bad angle for me. Too low and/or the front post was going to be in the way some. Regardless I had a few different sized mounts, so I put on the smaller riser I had. Just enough to clear the post, but good cheek weld.Comment

Also, just in case anyone was wanting one. Back in stock at SW. This is in black, but I did see a FDE one earlier this month too.

The first ones where made by GSG I believe, H&K sicked their lawyers on them and they had to stop making them.
The newer ones are made by Umarex for H&K. A little different but basically the same thing.
I’ve got over 1000 rounds down range with mine, things just run and eat whatever cheap ammo you feed it. I have the rifle and am seriously thinking of picking up the pistol too.

A quick search shows that Umarex was involved with the Walther guns too. Looks like besides some small cosmetic differences and some versions having a little less plastic then others these guns are all one and the same.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

I know I may be answering my own questions here, but this whole ATF pistol brace ruling has no effect on the HK MP5 .22 rifle, or the GSG-522 version, because they're sold as rifles correct?
Feel like a dummy having to ask, and I know there are pistol versions, but I m only referring to the rifle versions.Originally posted by FrozenguyOk Karen, it's Friday. Look forward to your weekend and relax!

Correct, no impact on the rifle versions of either the GSG or HK.I know I may be answering my own questions here, but this whole ATF pistol brace ruling has no effect on the HK MP5 .22 rifle, or the GSG-522 version, because they're sold as rifles correct?
