True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

Not a 929 but still nice

Many, many years ago when I worked in a store that carried guns we used to make fun of guys that went with H&R. It's probably part nostalgia on my part but I've lately picked up more than a few. Bought a 4" 732 for $100.00 at the same time I picked up a Steyr GB - odd pairing of purchases I suppose. They're pretty basic, but (nearly) all blued steel and generally function well. The 999 works well and IIRC the 649 with extra cylinder and like new ran about $200.00. As fun plinkers they do well.

My older Rugers are much better fit and finish than the newer ones I've bought. I think the Wrangler, designed to be manufactured with a minimum of hand work, benefits as a finished product while the Single Six, which definitely needs hand work to be properly finished (and doesn't get all that it should) suffers. The difference between my 1960s Bearcat, Single Six and Blackhawk and current manufacture is quite noticeable.

You may want to try the Wilson Combat Single Six spring kit. I put one in mine and it made a real nice difference. No issues with light strikes either.

Well I bought a Wrangler. 180.00 plus tax. Into for 194.00 total. Just bought it today and have not fired it yet. But just handling it and cocking it. Looking it over and such. It seems pretty solid. Surely worth every Penny of the mere 180.00 I think. Not going to shoot it on paper. But will let you know how it is for Minute of Soda Can. Thanks

I own both. The difference in quality is obvious, yet, the Wrangler is a lot of gun for the money.

The Wrangler is a great gun to train new shooters. I have used mine to introduce two of my nephews to handgun shooting.

I love my single six convertible. I shoot it the most out of all of my firearms.
