    Wrangler vs Single Six

Sorry, this is a very unscientific review ~

Pops just got a new wrangler & I have a brand new stainless Single Six.

I have a 1964 Convertible, all steel and still operates like new, I wouldn't trade it for ten Wranglers.
Look closer at the Wrangler, cheap construction and finish, alloy guts instead of steel.
    Time will tell.
I have a couple of the Heritage precursors, an F.I.E. and a Kimel, one is barely functional and the other is in the junk box, made just like the Wrangler.

I would not trade my Single Ten for a Wrangler, but when the lines go down I may have to get one for plinking fun.

      Thanks for the review OP.

Time will favor the Single-Six. Real steel construction vs whatever pot-metal the Wrangler is made of.

I am glad that you like your Wrangler. I am surprised that your comparison with your Single Six turned out the way it did. I have not even held or fired a Wrangler, but I am still favoring my Single Six. I have owned three Single Sixes, and all of them have had a superior smooth trouble free action and the accuracy has also been superior. The pot metal finish of the Wrangler turns does not appeal to me.

Great review OP, however, after owning a ss single six convertable since the mid eighties and carrying it for 2 decades as my trapping pistol in snow , mud and rain with little care it only seems to get better with age. Won't argue about trigger when new but age has softened mine, smoother too. If I had 10 cents for every round through it I'd be retired.

There isn't any comparison for quality and fit. If you favor the best of the best at a premium price, then the Single Six is for you. If you want similar performance at a fraction of the price, then get the Wrangler.

The Heritage is to the Wrangler what the Wrangler is to the Single six.

To say the Wrangler and Heritage are made alike is like saying Melania an Rosie are made alike.

I had a $200 gift card burning a hole in my pocket. I went in to buy the Heritage. Just couldn't do it. Walked out with a Wrangler.

                    Wrangler vs Single Six

i have both, plus a heritage roughrider and a ruger bearcat. all four are different, but each lovable, like children.

if i had to get just one and done new now it would be the wrangler. if i could only keep one it would be the single six. if i must dispose of one it would be the roughrider. if i were gifting one to a child or a lady, or if i wanted to daily carry one, it would be the bearcat. all that said im doing none of the above and keeping them all until i die, then my sons can sort them out.

i do wish that ruger had given the wrangler an 8 shot cylinder a la lcr 22lr...

I just can’t get over the thought that I NEED a .22 WMR cylinder on a six gun like that - I can’t bring myself to bite the bullet and pay $500+ on the Single-Six, I’m reluctant to get a .22 LR only Wrangler, and I’m skeptical about the Heritage quality!

My friend bought his first gun a single 6 convertible in 1979.
He still has that blue gun and has taught several people how to shoot.

Buy a used one, you won’t regret it

How's the shootability of the Wrangler's sights? I favor guns that I can be accurate with.
