As you can see, there are many options depending on what you want to spend. Personally I had Brimstone do a Tier 3 on my stock trigger and it came back at 1 lb. 14 oz. That's all I need.

I am no expert, but did get a BX in the mail today for a TD. A couple drops of Nano oil and its not bad at all for $51.00. But it does have 1/16" of sponge / take up prior to the break. But I can easily live with at on this gun. Feels well under 3 lbs now that its lubed. Am pleasantly surprised with the BX.

That said, I have another 10/22 I built 15+ years ago. Heavy bull barrel, 6x18 40 COMP airgun scope etc. Had an action job and double set trigger done by Tussey Customs. Cock, then safety on, pull 3 lbs. Safety off 4 oz. boom. It was amazing. Till the full auto bursts emptied a 10 round mag in 1 second. (in one hole) A couple times. Took it back for a single stage trigger. Under 2 lbs, no creap breaks like glass.
I guess my point is, if you can find a good smith, it might be better than high dollar drop in parts. Just wanted to mention it. Not sure if guys are still doing this type of work. But it used to be the way to go. And you could ask for exactly what you wanted in a trigger.

So my solution: Buy BX trigger group from GrabAGun for $56 shipped, send to Brimstone for that Tier 2 1.5# trigger work (not possible with a regular Ruger TG), sell the old TG to defray part of the cost.

At some point the gussied up BX will probably end up in my other 10/22 which is set up as a target rifle (TS barrel, Leupold glass, Boyd stock)

        Thanks for everyone's advice.

Brimstone sells TG's... maybe you can send them both TG's and get a credit for the stock one.

I was looking at the KIDD and it seems that it's for a target rifle.

I need a good "field" trigger. But if the KIDD is adjustable for this purpose then that will probably be it.

I saw that VQ makes drop in parts as well. I'm leaning towards that now absent any CG feedback about the BX unit.

Edit: Ok so KIDD also has a 1 stage trigger. Looks perfect and I can add the extended mag release cheaper than as a later add on. What pull weight did you guys get?
              Another vote for KIDD.

I have the single stage and it would be perfect for your needs, as the pull is end user adjustable from 1.5 to 5#. You can see and feel the quality and precision.

It has no take up or over travel. It just breaks. I often wonder what the two stage must be like but for my needs, the single is the perfect fit.

Tough choice as it is a fair chunk of change but it was well worth it for me!

              G/L with whichever you buy!
