I will 3rd the suggestion of KIDD trigger. The 2 stage is amazing and much better than trying to piece it together.Comment

This 10/22 trigger
I should qualify my inquiry.
I was looking at the KIDD and it seems that it's for a target rifle.
I need a good "field" trigger. But if the KIDD is adjustable for this purpose then that will probably be it.
I saw that VQ makes drop in parts as well. I'm leaning towards that now absent any CG feedback about the BX unit.
Edit: Ok so KIDD also has a 1 stage trigger. Looks perfect and I can add the extended mag release cheaper than as a later add on. What pull weight did you guys get?Last edited by SnWnMe; 04-16-2019, 12:13 AM.Frank Da TankComment

Brimstone.
You send in your trigger group, and get back...magic.
And the price is right.

One of the best things about the Kidd i bought is that wonderful mag lever, it works far better than the button.I should qualify my inquiry.

I got the 2 stage, whatever he sets them up at. It works for my informal plinking.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOriginally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. Send it to Brimstone, they do great trigger work and reasonable too. I have one of their Tier 1 triggers and it's as good as a Kidd as far as break and function. They are a favorite of the 10-22 crowd over at Rim Fire Central and have been for several years.

I first had Brimstone do three or four triggers for me. As he says, his mag release is the best. I also like his wrap around mag release. Not sure if he still offers that. Bottom line, you still have a factory trigger. Granted, it shoots nice and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
I also now have three Kidd Single Stage triggers. Bought the first for Calamity and she loved it. When I took it out to clean it, usually after 1K rounds, usually every two/three weeks, you can't help notice the quality built in. Reminds me of the old Ford car commercials. I bought two more within the next year. Yes, these are adjustable, and now have a simple feature using a single screw without removing the trigger from the stock, of changing from a typical mag release to the wrap around mag release. Love them.
I've heard good things about the others too, but I'm happy with the Kidd and I know it pretty well. I also like their springs and bolt rods, and the bumper. All are first class.
Note: The one thing Brimstone started me doing is they sent me a shorter pin and advised me to cock the trigger before removing it for cleaning. Then drive out the front pin using the shorter pin, then remove the back pin. The shorter pin keeps things in place in case you happen to discharge the trigger by mistake when removed from the chamber. I also use it with the Kidd triggers.Actually Sue's Husband
