Okay so I've been lapping up all this information about Kidd and Brimstone. Makes me wonder what I was missing all these years that I have a Clark kit in my other 10/22.

Off to RFC for a bit more reading.

As you might have figured out by now, there is no single answer to your Q. There are many, many, due to all the factors that go along with it. On the positive side, there are many fine upgrades to meet just about every budget and type of shooting.

brimstone for budget trigger. i picked up a bx trigger on sale. don’t remember how much it was but tons better than stock. mines just a plonked so couldn’t justify going up passed the bx trigger.

That sounds pretty damn good. Some stock triggers must be like 15 pounds of grit.

JWH Custom makes a drop in hammer kit. It's less than $20 shipped. It not match quality, but for a hunting rifle, much better than OEM, plus it's a good deal. You can get them on eBay

For about $30.00, the Volquartsen drop-in hammer will give you a pretty smooth trigger at about 3 pounds. It's makes the 10-22 a decent field gun. All positive reviews at Brownells.

I guess it depends on what you want it for. BX works great for me, plinking around with a little red dot.

The BX is the best bang for the buck

Volquartzen is smack.... your $200 rifle can creep into $2,000 territory

VQ used to be $40-$60 to get a great pull... even at a gun show hahah. Two $30 parts. Barrels were $120-$160.

I went with Volquartsen in all of mine, along with their extended mag release. I’m quite happy with the results.

For the money you can’t beat Brimstone. I have their Tier 1 trigger job (sweet spot pull at about 2.25lbs) on my target and it made a huge difference...crisp pull with no creep. I also have a Volquartsen T2000 in a takedown target that I picked up used. The pull on it is crisp at about 2lbs with no pretravel and little overtravel. If I had to pick one it would be the Brimstone Tier 1.
