"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.

I have a positive personal experience with this Federal ammo out of a 10/22 rifle and Buckmark simi auto pistol. But you may want to include additional information in your post; are you going to shoot it out of a pistol or rifle? Simi auto, bolt or revolver? This will likely lead to more feedback.

It is going to be out of a brand new build. AR15 semi-auto, rifle. Has a standard buffer and spring, as well as a delrin plug. Will be on 16" PSA hybrid upper, with dedicated 22lr barrel. Lower uses a better mag adapter with smith and wesson mp15-22 mags20190105_164822.jpg

I use 40 gr Mini Mags in my Palmetto AR when I can find them. My AR eats them up never a problem. That Federal occasionally fails to feed in mine, but it's still good ammo. I read somewhere that AR22s prefer the heavier bullets.

I've used it and is OK. However, I normally use Federal target grade

Or CCI Blazer or CCI mini mags in S&W M&P 15-22 or dedicated AR22 style rifles.

You really just need to try it and see what your rifle tolerates. I find that the newer AR style 22s are pretty tolerant. Many older 22s can sometimes be a little more particular and sometimes need something a little hotter or with well made with finer tolerances.

CCI and Federal are my top 2 choices for .22 ammo. Had very few problems with either.

Works great in my M&P 15-22, Ruger 10/22, Ruger SR-22, Ruger MKIII, and GSG 522, as well as my bolt action rifles and revolvers.

                Great plinking ammo!

The box saying that it is match ammo is a bit deceiving, like calling a VW bug a race car. Good plinking ammo but i have not found it to be target ammo.

That Fed .22 ammo works fine in my 39A, if that helps.

                      Agreed.

I normally read a little lower where it says ideal for semi-autos and then I plink away

The 40gr variant groups well out of my ruger mkIII, and did run well in my

Had very good luck with but haven't been able to find it for several years.

Good. This ammo will work on all of the pistols or rifles that do not finicking ammo, if you do not have Walther P-22 or Sig Mosquito then you OK.
