Thanks for the link!
I just made a bunch out of a DVD case. I used a old XBOX game case thinking the bright green plastic should make them easy to find. I was able to get 11 of them out of it. That way I have extras if I loose them and can give them away

Finally made it to Turner's today and of course I was an hour too late. They sold the last one about an hour before I got there and according to them it will be a few weeks before they get more in. I did put a deposit down for one so at least I will get the sale price when they get them in.
Oh well... gives me more time to look for a sling, bipod, scope, scope rings and more ammo...

People tend to have mixed results with the Thunderbolts. I've shot about 300 rounds of it out of mine. I've had a few rounds that were duds and a few others that did not extract, but it was probably 6-8 of them in total.
I've had great luck with the WW lightning and CCI mini-mags so I pretty much just stick with those.
I still love this rifle! My buddy bought a special Lipsey's 10-22 with a nice wood stock and stainless 22" barrel. He paid over $300 for it and was not happy to see my little 795 shoot tighter groups with cheap ammo...I told him to get the 795 and save half his $$$ but he didn't listen...

Altho the manual recommends other brands, I just put a couple boxes of Remington Thunderbolt that had been laying around for the better part of 20 years in someone's garage. No prob whatsoever!Leave a comment:

Hmm very strange! Mine which I bought at Turners (out of stock in store but marked from their warehouse to be sent to store for me) was very dry pretty much no lube in it at all but bore was clean.Just cleaned the 795 for the first time (before going out to shoot it), and it was pretty grimy. Sort of like they shot a box of rounds out of it. The barrel had a lot of fouling. Also the action had a lot of dark stuff (perhaps old oil?) but it was hardened. I wiped it down a tad, but didn't deep clean it as maybe there's some use for it. Though I did put some light oil on it.
Well at least its been "broken in" lol jk

I got the baby maglula and it works great in my testing at home. My thumbs were hurting trying to load several mags befor i bought it. Also the baby has a hook to unload a mag. Trying to unload that mag is a pain with your hands. For the ultimate clip loader, I would have to modify it a lot to get it too work.Leave a comment:

Shot about 500 rounds out of my marlin 795 this past weekend, can't feel my thumbs due to all the loading.
Saw this ultimate clip loader for ruger 22/45, mark I,II,III.....Is there a similar product for 795?Leave a comment:

Cool!! Jumping on this quick!
The weird thing is that the site asks for an example CCV # and then your actual CCV # (the last 3 digits of the security/verification code). The example CCV being the one that's pictured (Which makes no sense as to why they would need to do that).
Yea I noticed that too it was weird the example one shouldn't have been an editable box.
Glad that some of you where able to jump on this too! Good thing I was browsing Rimfire Central before I went to bed and found it or I would have missed itLeave a comment:
