Sweet! I'm waiting for an MM serial number 795 as well! What have you shot out of it so far?

91XXXXX means it was made by Marlin
MMXXXXG means its a newer one made at the Remington plant. The newer Remington ones seem to have less issues then the last Marlin made ones

Got mine with MM serial # and it operated perfectly!! Love my little 795!!

The coupon is good on the magazine because it is not "firearms" or "ammunition". I bought two Mini 14 mags from Big 5 using a 20% off coupon.

Comes with one magazine. Only did a quick online check and found the cheapest (currently) here:

Do some "net creepin" and you may find better. If your more of a 'brick and mortar' type, then hit big 5 when you have a 10 or 20% coupon in hand and stock up.

gub, great idea. I was holding off getting a magula since I had some other devices for loading my 22 mark III. Since as I recall the mag is wider in the 795, I might need to pick up the baby magula too.

One thing I learned is that when the forums say that the mags are tough to load then they're practically impossible. I couldn't physically load my M&P9 without a Maglula....so a babylula is definitely on the list.

A $40 3-9X32 will definitely help my aged eyes. Simmons should do it.

That's really about it. I doubt that I'll ever spring for a pretty stock. I'm a bit of a function over form kind of a guy.

I'm certainly not above doing trigger mods if necessary. My M&P9 came w/ a pretty stiff trigger while the 22a is fairly acceptable out of the box. We'll see what the luck of the draw is on the 795.

I'm going to do that and see if I can get the discount. It'll be cheaper at Turner's as I checked it's listed at around 160 at Big 5.

lol yes I agree be as polite as possible when attempting this.

I haven't tried it but when I asked a manager about rain checks he said just ask for a price match and that it would be no problem.

Also I have seen that they keep a folder of previous ads behind the gun counter at the location I go to.
