I was wondering what your opinions were on this cheap scope. I mainly want to know if any of you have had problems with the scope rings shifting after firing. If you do, will this mount fix those problems?

    .

The Mount/Optic looks fine. The scope will handle the little shock no problem and as long as the mounts are weavers then you'll do fine. All you have to do now is go to the range after installations. Have fun.

    Hi all,

I've been eyeballing the Marlin 795 ever since Turners had it on sale for $134.49 minus $25 rebate. Finally, I got my lazy butt down to Reseda and got one. I paid $177.23 out the door. With the rebate, the total comes to $152.23. I got the last one in Reseda by the way.

Now, I wanted to dress it up a bit. Reading through this very long and helpful thread, i came up with the following list for the total cost of $124.90.

UTG Airgun .22 Medium Profile Integral 1-Inch Ring Mount: $13.95
BARSKA 3-9x40 Huntmaster Easy Shot Rifle scope: $39.99
    Shooters Ridge Bi-Pod (6 - 9-Inch): $28.99
    3 extra magazines: $13.99 X 3

Does the list seem complete? If not, what else would you add to it? If you do not like the items in the list, what would you get instead? The price has to be comparable to the list since I do not want to spend any more money than $150 for the accessories.

I would much appreciate any advises. Thank you.
    You forgot ammo....

oh, that might be causing the problem. How come I never thought of that. I'll give it a try.
I happen to have a spare high profile laying around, you're right, it might be an overkill. As I still have quite some clearance from scope to barrel.

So I got a leapers 4-16x40 scope with 1-piece high mount trying to beef it up a little.
The elevation adjustment on the scope was put to its highest limit but the gun was still shoot about 10 inches low at 50 yards. So I turned the mount 180 degrees thinking if mount was causing the problem, it would be corrected. My gun was still shooting 10 inches low.
Now that I rule out the mount as the problem, I don't know where the issue is. Is it possible action isn't level to the barrel? Or is it possible it's caused by the scope?
I'm suspecting root cause is the scope, because the old one was able to zero just fine. What do you think?
The small piece of the base of the mount can be flipped over for different grove sizes, if I where you I would try flipping it over. Was the high profile mount necessary? I have one on my 795 but my scope is 50mm.

Does not require the picatinny mount. It comes with the swivel sling stud. I have the same bipod that I bought from Cheaper Than Dirt and I was trying to put it on last night and I think I need to flatten the stock around the sling mount so it's flat instead of rounded off so I can get the screws to align. At least that's the conclusion I came to last night, I was suppose to buy a Dremel today so I can finish that but other things came up and I guess I'll have to backburner the bipod install till next weekend.

I just picked mine up from jail today, but have a question, how do you install a bipod. I purchased this bipod, UTG Tactical OP Bipod . I'm assuming this is going to involve drilling somehow. Any help will be appreciated.

That might be a good idea. But I saw a better idea and copied that. Works on any 22 rifle. Bottom one is 702 plinkster. Those are allen rifle holders. Just cut every other thread and the mags fit. Now you know you where the mags are at all times.
