I'd love to do an Appleseed at some point. I doubt my shooting buddy would want to though.

You guys who are going to the Corona 210 are making me jealous. My Marlin's won't be out of jail till the 26th. Still have to pay 'em off on Thursday.

If you get a cleaning rod make sure you use a bore guide as you take a chance of damaging the crown on the barrel when cleaning from the front of the barrel. Will greatly affect accuracy if the crown is damaged. I only use a boresnake on my Marlin 60 to ensure I don't damage the crown.

I will bring my new 795 to appleseed this Saturday.

I do not expect good score. Just want to learn and have fun.

This is my set up too. I can't wait for Appleseed this weekend to see what I can do with it.

I'll be there, although I've had my Marlin for a little over a year now

.22 boresnake works great. Remove the bolt, wipe everything down. I use CLP (Clean/Lubricate/Preservative) sprayed on the snake brush area, and pull it through a few times and it seems pretty clean at the end of the process. The trigger group is also easy to remove and clean.

Congrats! I got my 10/22 from that same Turner's almost a year ago. Still considering selling it to finance a Savage MkII or a CZ452. (Jealous of that out-of-the-box accuracy)

Nothing to brag about but I was happy I wasn't all over the place. Had a lot of fun hitting the metal target at 100 yards. Not exactly a tiny target but there's something so satisfying about hearing that, "ping!"

Here's my photo gallery in case you care about seeing some artsy fartsy photos of a gun range. I'm the guy without the hat.

What about the factory Marlin adjustable for $10?

Any bore brush/cleaning rod for 22lr rifle will do. I just use a boresnake.

I use MPro7 but Hoppes will work just fine.
