You might want to check to see if CDNN deal with CA, I'm not entirely sure that they do.

Also, the Browning you link to is the Micro Midas (youth/smaller model of the BL).

I don't own either but from what I can gather the Henry has a better trigger but the overall quality of the Browning is better. As I say, just from what I've read secondhand.

Henry, USA made by them, backed with a great warranty and excellent service record.
Browning does not and never has made their own arms, they have always subbed it out, but the quality is usually very good as well.
I am happy with both and own both.

I'm pretty sure they deal with New Mexico.

Yeah I've had several CDNN items shipped here already, no issues and $15 transfer fee and no sales tax collec ted by FFL!

Thanks for all that info, I was wondering about the LOP on the Browning, the Henry H001 ($274 at Wally World here in ABQ and not the youth model) is slightly shorter that the Golden Boy I handled and I like the Golden Boy sights a little better than the Henry H001 which is just a post with cover over it. Never had a hands on a Browning to compare.

Thanks for the input, I believe the decision has been made! Now looking for a 22 mag Golden Boy, Wally World doesn't carry them but they do special orders, need to get a quote! Buds charges about the same asWally World, but adding the FFL 15 dollar fee when shipped to my LGS sometimes equals the same as buying local and paying the sales tax and NICS fee. Have to shop around!

Had : Ruger 10/22, Marlin 60, Henry H001. The Henry H001 is the black/blue version of the Golden Boy is the most heavy (6+ pounds) of the three. After couple hours shooting free hand the Henry I am wear-out (old ages).
25-50 yards they all shoot the same, 50-100 yards I cannot see that far (old age eyes) so I don't know.
If you still young with strong arms and have a good eyes then get the Golden Boy, it is one of a kind rifle.

The Golden Boys are pretty nice for looks and accuracy . I do not own one but have tried several at the range and their owners have been happy.

If you can, shoulder each of them with your eyes closed. Get comfortable and then open your eyes. Pick the one that is on sight or closest to on sight. It fits you better and you will probably shoot it better. Of course, do this a number of times.

If you haven't already, take a look at the Henry pump (H003). I really enjoy mine and it has the same sights as the golden boy.

Henry has a standard long throw, the browning has a short throw. As stated above the browning is a youth model. The Henry H001 Blue model is a great shooter. Love my golden boy and my Marlin 39a . Put the large loop on the Henry.

It's also worth noting that Browning normally has a rebate running, upto $100 isn't uncommon

The Henry will eat anything. I mean anything. It will eat heavy wax coated bullets that are loose and spin around in the shell. Those that won't feed or fire in my Ruger or any other .22 I have shot. The Henry just eats them.

                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
