Thanks for all the feedback guys! Am also looking at the pump versions, but they might wait awhile. Had a Win 06 years ago I liked. The Golden Boy in 22 mag is a little pricey so may get that in the blued version. But the 2 local Wally Worlds have one each Henry H001 and a Golden Boy, Mini 14 's are a little over $700 but I'm not in the market for them now. They also have some of the Big Bore Henrys as well. Not sure why more people aren't buying firearms at the local WalMarts as their prices are cheaper than any of the LGS. Cabela's is high priced and people STILL buy there and spend about 10-20% over what the LGS will sell the same item for!

Well I don't mean to be, my heart (what's left of it) is still with you guys back in Kommifonica. Hoping you all can make the jump to a free state someday OR the politics there with change.

The Browning has a horrible trigger pull. Still, I'd take it over the Henry because it's pretty much all "walnut & steel". Just a preference over the brass receiver Henry I guess.

The price on the Browning is very good. And if you mount a scope on it this Redfield 3/4" copy is very nice quality. I have 4 or 5 of them on smaller rifles like the Browning SL22 and they're just right sized, nicely made.

Well got the Golden Boy to start, $428 OTD wall mart doesn’t charge for NICS!

Get both, see which one you like better, and send me the other one. Problem solved.

Great suggestion. I don't own one but I sure would like to. They seem like they would be a lot faster than the lever action.

Darn you Jon, now you got me on GB looking for one
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I also have a Henry pump and love it. Besides an air rifle, it was the first "real" gun that my dad gave me. Still my favorite in the safe.

Congrats on the Golden Boy. Too heavy for my taste, but it looks good.

Thanks, will have to wipe down with oil the blued parts (barrel) but I did compare it to the H001 and it just felt a little better and I liked the sights, didn't like the post front sight on the H001.

Anymore Henrys will be the blued versions incase I might want to scope them and they're a little cheaper!

If I get the chance I'm going to Wal Mart and get estimates for a few other models, if they can special order them. I'm still looking for my Henry catalog!
