Some people like circles and some people like rectangles... personally I like the MLOK logo. It is sooo tactical.

Oh I'm sure they are poised to put a hurting on CMMG and TACSOL as well as ATI, etc...Originally posted by IshootforbloodIt's wise to wait & see how these perform. Anyone that's had an experience with their customer service would pause, and sniff.
They will get it right. Keep your eyes peeled on the YouTubes.Comment

Only problem I had with my CMMG was the POLY lower. It was complete so it had the craptastic polymer trigger group. I had a box of extra GI parts so I swapped in a 90's Bushmaster trigger group and the upper mated perfect. Never had any issues with it at the range. Might update it to a CMC trigger.Comment

The problem with the CMMG was fixed by moving that timney 3 pound trigger to a centerfire lower. I put the RRA 4.5 pound 2 stage match trigger in the lower and it ran flawless. I don’t think the timney has a strong enough spring for lighting off the rimfire. We have one of the CMMG .22 uppers. After some tweaking it runs good. Part of our problem was the Timney that was in the lower. My husband’s buddy got one of the Palmetto .22s. Apparently it ran better out of the box than the CMMG. I can’t say though, haven’t shot it. I do like Palmetto for their value though. Definitely better than expected for the price.
OP, my buddy got one of the PSA 22 uppers. We oiled it with CLP, used black dog machine magazines, and Federal AutoMatch ammo. Lower was an 80% we milled, and trigger was what came with a RRA $47 lower parts kit. I polished the sear surfaces and put JP enterprises trigger, hammer, and disconnector spring kit in it. Ran good, no jams or hiccups. He’s not a great shot so I can’t really comment on accuracy, but from a function standpoint it was 100%.Comment

Being familiar with the CMMG upper, the PSA looks really similar. Not sure if one company is making all the parts or what, but the actions look really similar. I didn’t do a side by side comparison, but my first thought when I saw the PSA was the same company must have made both of these uppers.
Also, to fix mistake above, he wasnt using black dog magazines. They were CMMG ones I brought because his black dog mags hadn’t showed up yet.Comment

PSA 22 upper
Well guys, great upper overall. I went through 325 rounds, I had so much fun I would have shot more if I brought more. Shot CCI standard vel. and CCI high vel. I had 1 FTF, the mad dog mags. fault. The night before I tested the upper I ran a patch through the upper and it was very dirty! I went through 5 patches to get it clean. Next day took it for some range time. Ran 30/10 round MD mags, and 20/10 round mags. The 10 round mags. worked great, but ended up loading 9 rounds in each mag. The upper ran great! Mags was another issue. I narrowed it down to one mag that was giving me problems. I am doing some filling on it Saturday.Comment

The PSA upper was $299 with free shipping for awhile at the end of last year. I would've been all over it had I not bought a Nordic Components upper for a lot more money a few weeks earlier.
But, of all the tacticool semi-auto 22's I own or have shot, the most reliable and lightest is the S&W M&P 15-22. It just works. It's the Glock of tacticool 22's. So for almost the same price as this PSA upper (I paid $379 for my 15-22), you could buy a complete 22 AR that works and works and works. My expensive Nordic Components upper can't hold a candle to that M&P 15-22.Last edited by k1dude; 01-07-2018, 12:47 AM."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart.
