      Savage 93

Savage 93fvss in 22wmr, my rifle will shoot 1/2" at 100 yards, with Hornady 30grain Vmax, you can find great ammo prices on ammoseek. Free float barrel and adjust the trigger which are both diy.

Major fan of .22 Mag here ... ever since I was knee high to a urinal.

Understand that this gauge is not that accurate at 100 yards, you are lucky to hit a squirrel. It is really a "minute of man" type cartridge, but a hard hitter.
That said, it is still a great defense round, low recoil, good penetration and so on. You can count on stopping any perp in a Pee-Coat. Maybe not drop dead, but the show is over for them, BIG time.

Down side is that, the ammo is just so damn expensive.

New H001M 22 Mag initial fire report

All I can say is wow. Henry Mag + $20 Tasco loaded with Aguila and I'm hitting beer cans at 100 yards offhand. Stand back cause I'm sporting some wood here..

So happy with my new Henry!

Had an AMT AutoMag....one of the biggest POS I've ever had. Looked cool, but that was about it. Couldn't do more than 3 rounds before a jam.

I'd stick to the Keltec PMR30 (second gen). 30 rounds in a light pistol. Best zombie pistol ever. LoL.

I have ever seen a Ruger Single Six with a much higher longer barrel than 5.5". Also a nice but hard to find ruger model 96 lever in. 22 wmr

want some great 22 wmr performance without spending a lot of dough?

picked up both of these 783 Marlins for less than $500 as pictured

I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

This is the only thing that I don't like about 22 mag.

That, and the cci lead free bullet doesn't open up when shot point blank into a soft dirt hill.

I think you are looking for a "pack gun" and I agree the Cricket would fill the bill. It even breaks down into 2 pieces by removing a screw and is very inexpensive. I just bought one.
