I had Rough Rider. What a POS. I was so irritated by it, I sold it and bought an older Single Six within a week. 3x the price, 100x times the enjoyment.

I also dig shooting 22WMR. Single Six is a lifetime gun.

It is. I have had mine for forty years, still looks like new, shoots tight and laser accurate and is my go-to gun for fun just anytime. Sometimes I just take it out of the safe and handle it to bring back wonderful memories. Thousands of dead tin cans racked up with that jewel.

Already happened to me. Got the convertible stainless Single Six. Within a year, it was joined by a .357 Mag Blackhawk, followed later by a .45 LC Vaquero.

It didn't stop there. Just had to get a .357 Henry to match the Blackhawk and have my eyes out for a .45 LC Henry to go along with the Vaquero.

And if you think the Single Six is addictive, try the double action GP-100 in .22!

I know I am bringing back a zombie thread, but just wanted to say I jailed a Single Six Convertible, Stainless, 6-1/2 barrel, wood grips. I pick it up this Friday, 2/8/19!

I got to take some time check it out, and handle it while the store did the DROS stuff. It handles just like the .357 Blackhawk I (stupidly) sold long ago. The Single Six felt great, and is a beauty to look at. Can't wait to hit the range!

A Blackhawk in .357 w/ 6-1/2 barrel is on my wish list.

If any of you gents have a Single Six and want to comment on your experiences, I would be happy to hear them.

^ good purchase, highly doubt you'll be dissappointed..

can't speak on new models but both of my 1971 3 screw old models run very well, especially at their price point

my mom has a SS new model bought back in the 80's that's ran great all these years..

pictures please when you pick it up and good luck!

                1971 OM Blackhawk .357

and like posted above, a pair of .45LC Vaqueros go next

[I actually got these, the Blackhawk, and a model 10 in one ppt deal ]

I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

22wmr is obscenely accurate and gobs of fun out of the ruger s.s.

Single-Six is even fun to shoot with .22 short's. It is just one of the more fun guns to shoot.

                      Good Choice

I have a circa 1984 stainless convertible. Just bought a single ten. My other rimfire revolver is a Bearcat. Like you, I have lots of grandkids who shoot these more than me.

I had a chance to take the New Single Six out for a test drive yesterday.

I shot 22 WMR and LR after a quick sight-in. This thing is a tack driver from 10 and 15 yds. It functioned perfectly, and the trigger is great right out of the box.

It was a lot fun, and I am very happy with the purchase.

I also ordered one of each of these cloths: Remington Moisture Guard Rust Preventative Cloth and Hoppe's No. 9 Silicone Gun And Reel Cloth from Amazon.

Thanks for your previous comments and help.

Fun to shoot 22 WMR rounds.

                              Enjoy.

                                Very nice lookin' piece.

(Can't believe it's been over two years...)

Got a new holster for it, as the H&R (and my son) have commandeered the Hunter.
