    Smith&Wesson 22A-1 ?

I saw S&W 22A-1 (.22RL) on the CA Roster. But I went to couple local gun shops near my resident and could not find any of them. Do you see it any where in Los Angeles and Orange County ?

The 22A-1 has been discontinued by Smith and Wesson.

There may be a few around but they are hard to find new.

Good luck ... hope you can find one.

Oh I see, so the discontinue pistol is in the Roster but the all the latest and greatest Glock Gen 4 are not. Some kind of "mind" we have on the CA DOJ.

I have a 22A, fun fun little pistol, only put about 100 rounds down range with her but sooo very accurate. Get one if you can find one. I also have the SR22 by Ruger and the 22A is far far more accurate.

I had called Smith and Wesson on this and they still have the tooling and may run specific runs but no plans as of now. They incorporated aspects of the 22A and the model 41 into their new Victory

There are several for sale on Gunbroker.com

My daughter loves our S&W 22A. It is very accurate.
                Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

Does this gun picky on the ammo ???? The reason I ask because when my "30 days" is over I will acquire this gun via FFT and I always buy the whatever brand (ammo) on sale.

                          Ammo

We stick with CCI Mini Mags and CCI Std. Velocities and they function flawlessly. Remington, Aquila and Winchester also passed the function test. We have not tried the new Norma Match or the Browning line of ammo.

This Federal ammo did not want to play well in her 22a.

The Browning line is made by Winchester. So, if you find that Winchester works in your gun this stuff should too.

                            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

90% of their diet is Fed Bulk...
And yes, they are very accurate for what they are.

                              Edit:
The one on the left I bought because it was a heck of a deal (and has only fired 200ish rounds in its life), the one on the right I bought new 20ish years old and now have 10k+ rounds through her (and several of those plastic buffers). On a side note, the new one has a plastic frame where the older one has a metal.
