What 22 Target pistol to get????
Tags: None -
This has been asked a lot, even by me sometime last year. Try a search, it'll bring up lots of info.
Cheaper and will do the trick = Buckmark or a S&W 22A or S&W Victory
Tried and true, but more $$$ = S&W Model 41 -
There are thirteen variants of the Browning Buck Mark listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.
There are no variants of the Ruger Mark 1, 2, 3, or 22/45 listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.
IMO...
If you want it now, get a Browning Buck Mark.
If you don't mind waiting and have money to burn, get a S&W Model 41 (Olympic pistol exempt) or Beretta Model 87 Target (on the Roster).sigpic

The Buckmark is an accurate and customizable gun, and it's available at your dealer. The Mark iii is just as accurate with a whole bunch of aftermarket parts, but must be purchased vis PPT as it is no longer on the CA DOJ approved list. The Model 41 is the only S&W 22lr I would recommend (the best of the lot), that is if you can find one and afford to buy it via PPT.Comment

Walther SP22... good luck finding one though

I like Rugers, but I've had them for 20 years.
I just picked up a Nelson Custom .22 conversion for my 1911, very nice and it's my 1911 trigger, so it shoots nice.
I also have a colt woodsman, a stripped down huntsman with fixed sights, but it's always been more accurate than I am.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOriginally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. Those are not target pistols.Originally Posted by OCEquestrian View Post

I have a chance to pick up a high standard one is $600 the other is $800 the $800 is a little nicer but I don't see the $200 difference but is $600 worth itComment

Hard question to answer without more details. What model? Vintage or new production?
Some older High Standards are high dollar collectables.Comment

You missed his screen name. Pardini is a true target pistol. Even has an electronic trigger available.Comment

The high standards are both the Olympic models they are older but don't show the ageComment
