I always heard that Golden Bullets and Thunderbolts were not that good. Do you guys just want the cheapest 22LR to shoot and don't care about reliability or accuracy? Just curious.

Goldens are fine. Quite reliable and not bad as far as accuracy goes. For example, shooting with my S&W 617 at 30 feet (weaver stance; no rest or anything).

Thunderbolts will lead your barrel like crazy. If you shoot them, you should clean out your barrel every 50 rounds or so.

I had heard that Golden Bullets had improved so when I saw a box at Walmart and Dick's I picked up a box at each store.

Unfortunately for me they would not cycle in my 10/22 or MKIII. I spent most of my time at the range clearing FTFs for my kid and GF.

Now I have about 700 rounds left that I'm saving to shoot out of my revolver or lever gun. For years I swore I'd never buy GB again and now I'll probably never buy them again.

Gb's are great. I hunt bunnies with them alll tje time and are accurate as well. Id give them an 7.5 outta 10

I've had better luck with Thunderbolts, then Golden Bullets. Then again Blazers have rarely let me down, and when I was much younger Wildcats were great shooting rounds and cheap as hell too.

I wish I knew how many rounds I put down the pipe back then but it was thousands and thousands of rounds and Wildcats were damn accurate ammo.

I know a guy that went Distinguished Expert in NRA 4-position using a Remington 513T and Remington Thunderbolt ammunition.
