The HP22A is only rated for 1050fps-1150fps ammo. Anything higher and you can crack the frame.

I know. I had like 300rds of the standard velocity RDS. But they aren't easy to come by. I could buy them online for more money then I want to pay for.
I have few thousand RDS of the 325ct fed match ammo that is rated at 1200fps.
So I'm hoping 50fps more isn't going to crack the frame anytime soon.

It's a gamble, But others have said that they shoot whatever they want thru it, And nothing has happened to their's. I won't though.

Nah, I own a Phoenix hp22a, I like all kinds of stuff. Cheap is fun too.

They say it still shoots fine even if you crack it.

But **** I wished they made that area thicker or better material. I would pay a little more so I can shoot more variety. I get its a cheap gun. But I bet they would sell a helluva lot more if they improved on some area. Nothing that will drive the price so high imo. They been around since 1992 or something.
