You guy's were not joking about the take down of this gun. I had the slide recoil spring fly across the room about 4 times before I calmed down and took my time, putting it in ever so carefully. Lots of friction points and rough edges to polish. Feed Ramp needs the most attention in this department. All in all I happy with it.

The owner's manual shows how to use the barrel to hold the spring down while pulling the slide back during reassembly.

After shooting mine for the first time I can say its a fun little gun. 250 rounds through and no malfunctions at the range. I don't mind the mag safety, I leave the firing pin safety off and solely use the mag safety as it is closer to my 1911 safety. It makes a nice little plinker imo.

Yep no issues with mine so I got the 5" bbl also!

Ojisan said it well. I got the combo and I thought it was pretty cool. My 12 year old son tore up The pistol Gallery at Angeles shooting range with it and so far it's been a fun pistol to have.

Just don't use high velocity ammo. I cracked my frame using the wrong ammo

I have one their a fun little gun, 2 things 1 make sure you buy the extended barrel 2 don't try and clean a new one you will need 2 men and a boy to help you move the plastic slide that is used to separate the gun oh yea the customer
service is GREAT !!!, the rear sight fell off the gun in a week after I bought it, called Phoenix arms they sent me a complete replacement in 2 days NO CHARGE.

I had these years ago before I sold it. Never had an issue as long as you use subsonic rounds.

Things I did:
Removed the mag safety disconnect.
Racked it hundreds of times with remoil before taking it to the range. wipe, spray, racked again. (it smooths the slide and frame).
Call customer service. They'll send you spare recoil springs for free.

I just bought one. So far so good. I did read some old threads and it seems people has been getting a lot of cracked frames.
That's one thing I don't like about. I wished they just put a little better quality in that area. I wouldn't mind paying a little more. Hell it seems to happen often. You would think they would just do it.
Second, it's a pain in the *** to take down. And even worse, reassembling is a huge pain in the ***.
I'll have to read the manual again cause that spring shot out several times.

I did the modes that was on YouTube. I cut/filed down the saftey part where it went behind the mag release so that I can drop my mag. Also I didn't bend the tension bar. On one of the YouTube video someone used a piece of metal and put it underneath the tension bar. I took a small paper clip and cut it and used it to keep tension bar off the mag catch.

I'm also wondering if anyone of you guys experience the same thing I'm having. When I insert the mag, the mag won't go in smoothly. I noticed that the mag catch sticks out a bit and catches it on the top side portion of the mag. I have to give it a little harder tap to seat the mag.
But when I depress the mag release while inserting the mag, it goes in smooth. Is this normal?

It is a pita to strip down, But once you get the hang of it it's easy. I bent the mag saftey catch. Others said to do it, And they were right. Check youtube for instructions on this. Cracked frames are most likely from not using standard velocity.

yeah you can bend that part as well, the part that slides against the mag.
