once you put the grip back on. It pushes against the tension bar. Just bend it out.

What is the purpose of bending the tension bar back?

That tension bar is what keeps the you from unlocking the slide, With the saftey. They want a mag in the gun to unlock the slide. This just bypasses that. The saftey still works.

I plan on ordering an extended mag follower on eBay. So hopefully it will old the bolt back on the last Rd.
Of course once u drop the mag the slide will go forward.

I also bought the baby maglula to loader. It does work on the Phoenix arms magazine.

It's been a while since I've seen CCI standard velocity ammo at Wally's world.
I've used the federal match which is about the slowest one I have (1245 fps). But reading how frames crack I might have to use the standard stuff if I can get more of it.

This is what I use as a loading tool, just had to file down the post a little works fine and cheap!
Also get the mag grip extension or mags with the grip extension, you'll like the grip better. Also the 5in barrel, got mine on Ebay out of Reno with an extra mag with the grip extension, $35 delivered no tax.

The post that pushes the round into the mag it's just a touch too wide, I just filed down the 380 single stack loader I had for my Bersa 380 that I sold.

Thanks. I'll take back the baby maglula. That cost me $30. I'll try this one and c how it will work on the Phoenix arms mags

Works fine for me and really saved my thumb! Just take the time to fit it.

Instead of bending it back I out the saftey pin (like I said before). The mag drops free. But without the safety pin under the tension bar the mag won't drop free.

If you look at this picture, You can see a wear line on the magazine. That is from the tension bar piece that protrudes threw the mag well, If you bend the tension bar, or in your case the saftey pin thing, The magazine will drop freely. That line is where it is rubbing against the mag, And not letting it drop easy.

                                Yea I noticed that.
What I do is I depress the mag release when I insert a mag.
The mag catch gets caught on the mag.
Also my hp22a does not like federal champion. Even though it's rated at 1245fps.
Shot shells are a no go and depending on the subsonic brand it will not cycle. CCI quite is no good. But the subsonic Remy is good to go. Cause it's a rated at 1050fps
