      SW 617

Was able to fire at the local range-store.

Was the most front end heavy .22 I have ever fired.

The new GP100 is very different from the SP101 in .22LR.

SP101 has a 4" barrel, the GP100 is 5.5". The SP holds 8 rounds, the GP holds 10. The adjustable sights on the GP differs from the SP. Grips are slightly larger on GP than the SP, with a wider taper at the base. The trigger systems are different, with the a new design for the GP, lighter in double and single action.

I have a S&W K-22 from the late 50s and I love it. But I will not buy a modern S&W revolver. This Ruger looks and sounds great. I called a dealer in Oregon and his adjusted price is $599. It is a hot item, he sold the three that Ruger sent him already. Hopefully CA will list it.
