S&W model 41 performance center edition

All model 41's used to be built in Maine or somewhere not even the regular factory. The standard 41 supposedly already comes with a hand honed crisp trigger 2.75-3.25.
as far as the Performance center goes , their guns have a different barrel with a rail, grips and the logo But believe me , and I love S/W ,but the Performance Center ain't what it used to be. The last couple "PC" guns I have bought were junk, and no customer service /response from the P/C. Like the 986 has terrible accuracy, because the cylinder is chambered for 9X21 not 9X19 as it is sold as a 9mm. "When contacted" OH we havent heard that complaint or we dont do that anymore" now its just a non-standard catalog gun with a P/C logo. Nothing like the guns made in the 1990's - early 2000s'. Well I will have to admit that the PC gun I have is from '98 but it is much nicer the the same non PC gun. If it's really true that the PC center has gone down hill that's sad

Thank's y'all for keepin up the comments. I have decided to go with a .177 pellet air gun, Olympic target 10 meter type for now to avoid the .22 ammo altogether. $0.01 cents per shot got me interested and this class of air gun will really challenge and hone anyone's abilities.
Still have a 41 on my wish list though. even though it may have moved down a bit. They really are beauties.

You don't know much about Olympic class air guns or their prices, if you think that.

I recall a gun magazine possibly gun world doing a good article on the 41 in the last 4 months or so. Author reviewed new standard , PC ,as well as his own vintage model . If truly interested I suggest a Google search of past issues . not positive it was gun world but check out GW g&a and other usual suspects.
