    And I'm sure you'll sell for $0.25 a round.

He should if some dummy would pay that. Oh, and that's about 1/4 of my .22lr stash. Cudos to the OP for being prepared.

I need to start looking around for some too. I'm down to 16,000 rounds of Fed Auto Match, but I have plenty of Sk Std and Wolf MT.

OOPs. range day today.... im alot lighter.

And btw, how do i stock up 10,000 rounds when i keep using them up? And is it hoarding if you shoot them?
And NO im not selling them off.. at least not yet. The GB's are doing fine so im gonna use the buckets up. I noticed the cci subsonic, and aguila shoots pretty tight groups. Gb, isnt so bad for the money. jmho. id rather shoot a bucket on the cheaps, then use up the cci, and aguila.

Woohoo, and i meet up with another member for some colibri's to test.

It's not hoarding if you shoot it!!!
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

As other have said, it's not hoarding if you're using it. .22 is that strange caliber where 1000rds seem to just magically disappear after a range day.

do you even foresee yourself reasonably shooting even half of that any time soon? if everyone is stocking ammo like this would that explain why there is still a 22 shortage? not attacking you, just saying. i don't understand why people do this with 22 but nearly as much with other calibers.

in b4 butthurt u have no ammo - i have enough for a while but i don't foresee needing ~10k rounds. if it were you trying to locate all of the ammo of a specific lot of high end ammo for a particular gun, i get it, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

                          answer:
i own a hunter marklll that eats ammo. I kid you not, i will set a magazine next to the darn pistol, and next thing i know? Its empty and asking for more. Now i just bought a 10/22 that ate up 500 rounds on the first day. No i dont sit and blow shot after shot. I do take my time, goal is to see if i can shoot the same holes. That mark will shoot amazing groups out to 25 yards.

I am patiently waiting for my trigger to return for the 10/22. I expect that when that trigger shows up, another 500 will go down range.

I also have a wife, and three kids, 24, 21, 19 that love shooting as much as i do. Now do the math, 5 x 500 = 2500 round day if spent with the family. Add the 9mm, 40, 556/223 and 7.62x39 and yes we go through ammo. Its all family fun, and keeps us together while teaching the kids how to defend themselves if need be.

Now is that hoarding? or causing shortages? I dont know, and all i know is that my kids are happy, and pops is too

                          Happy shootin!

I don't see any problems with stocking ammo. The climate has been getting worse for those of us who enjoy shooting sports for at least the last couple of decades, and the best way to insulate yourself from growing shortages is to have enough ammo to affordably enjoy the sport for the long run, not the near term. For me, I can't afford the super high prices that are being charged today, but I learned enough from other shortages (the primer shortage in 1996 was an eye opener for me), that I buy it when I can afford it. Some people can afford paying more, which is fine, it's a free country so more power to them. I won't say how much 22 LR I have, but let's say it's enough for me to be able to enjoy shooting and ride through these things even if they last for a couple/few years. I've been shooting for many decades, and think I probably have another 3 decades or so, so my philosophy is to buy it when you can afford it, so you can enjoy it when you can't. I think we all recognize ammo prices will just keep going up over time. I believe there was another primer shortage in 2008, but I wouldn't know it, because I bought them when I could afford them. I'm shooting some 22 LR that I bought a decade or two ago, and I'm pretty sure I'm not causing the current shortage because I have a lot of it.
