A vote here for the Kidd two stage trigger....absolutely nothing else like it...

I have a Volquartsen VG-1 and it's trigger is no comparison to the Kidd.

With just the Kidd barrel and trigger on a plain jane 10/22 receiver and bolt, the groups at 50 yards are better than any other bolt rimfire I've tried.

I really like my KIDD single stage. I'm a position shooter. If I was a bench shooter I'd get a KIDD two stage. Just depends on what you're doing with it.

re: the bolt - probably the biggest accuracy issue with the bolt is that SOME factory bolts will give inconsistent ignition leading to occasional flyers. If you see this and you suspect the bolt the KIDD bolt is of course excellent but there are also guys you can send your bolt to, and for $35 they'll pin the firing pin so it won't do that as well as polishing and generally making the bolt nicer.

Never tried VQ or Kidd's single stage, but two of my 10/22s have Kidd's two-stage triggers and it is one of the best triggers I tried. Would buy it again and recommend it without any reservations.

I have been using the volquartsen tg2000 for 2 years. My only complaint is the magazine release. I wish it was a bit longer.

I managed to pick up a single stage Kidd trigger for 150$ and it seems to be better biult

I'd have the older steel trigger group worked on before dropping cash on a kidd. I'd also have my bolt headspaced, crosspinned & radiused. Plenty of issues with people swapping out aftermarket bolts & triggers, just read the threads. I have not had one issue in several thousand rounds. Less "leftover" parts sitting around, cheaper & just as effective. CPC did my steel 10/22 trigger & bolt, I'm very happy with it. I get tired of all the parts sitting around, but that's just me.

The entire trigger assembly and receiver was made by tactical solutions.

I have a VQ single stage trigger in mine, a TS mag release lever and a Kidd .920 barrel. the accuracy is boring but still fun at the same time

I have VQ Single Stages in a couple of my 10/22s and Kidd Single Stages in a couple of my 10/22s.

I can tell no difference between the Kidd and the Volquartsen triggers as to feel, etc.

I have never tried the double stage triggers.

I know that you already made the purchase but the other option out there is the timney. They do great work with a 10/22 trigger.

And yet another option is Ruger's new trigger group. Though I have no experience with them.

I saw that, but had trouble finding it in stock. Then I flipped out and said eff it, I've wanted a volq for ten years, let's go big. I got to try one one time, and was very impressed.

But when I started looking, volq was no longer the only game in town

I went with kidd this time.
