The Gen II has a lower failure rate than some of the far more expensive Philippine made scopes we carry. The internals are the same as a scope that is selling for $400. That said we let you down. I have a few held back if you wanted to try one. If not hit me up for you next purchase and I will make the credit go farther. If nothing else they sell for more than retail on eBay. .

Hmmmmn. My wife will nag the crap out of me but I think I may take you up on that. That reticle is simply amazing and works exactly as advertised. 1" high at 100 yards and I got consistent hits out to 600 yards with it mounted on the M&P 10. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

You're probably right about the Phillipine scopes as that is where my two Vortex Viper PST 1-4's are made.

Wanted to bump this for a "teachable moment" on customer service.

Interesting thing is the teaching (or preaching) isn't for the vendors. It's for us, the customers.

At PA's suggestion, I emailed Marshall about the issues with my optic. Within 2 hours a new scope was on the way. We got the email confirmation of the shipment.

My faulty one was a Gen 1 model. Will this new, Gen 2 one be better and trouble free?? Will I now be 1-10 on Chinese made scopes?,

Time will tell, but I would like to publicly state my appreciation for the excellent customer service of Marshall and the folks at Primary Arms.

They have a well deserved reputation for customer service.

If this replacement optic fails, will I remain a customer???

Love this scope.! Crystal clear, images are Crisp. Mount is perfect for my needs.

Mounted it (for now) on my AR featureless Rat Rifle...

Thanks! I'll get one next time I place an order so I don't have to pay shipping on just one item. I ordered the scope from my phone when I was out running errands and didn't want to take the chance of missing out on this scope again.
