All the scopes I have ordered were in stock and shipped promptly, with free shipping and the best price I could find online. Like others, however, I ordered Burris rings that I learned later were not in stock; to their credit, they did notify me of this, but after the order was placed. My card was not charged, and I simply canceled the order. I learned later that OPcould not even get the rings from Burris, who themselves did not have them! Still, if an item is not in stock, you should be able to know that before ordering.Since we're all in the same boat, let's stay in the boat!Comment

I'll agree with this statement.Have ordered from there several times. Awesome service, price, and quick delivery. Well packaged and very prompt shipping. Every order I placed was shipped the day I placed an order. They sent tracking info right away, so you can track your order.
I just got an order from them early today (10th), from an order I placed on the 7th. It was cheaper to order it from them + shipping, than it was to find at a local gun store. Every store I went to in SOCAL, didn't carry the item in stock. So, I decided to just order it from OP.
Ordered some stuff for a 3-gun night match."Over-sentimentality, over-softness, in fact washiness and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people. Unless we keep the barbarian virtue, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail." - Theodore Roosevelt

Well, this was my first order from them so probably not a fair rating, but so far they appear to be idiots.
All items had no mention of "out of stock" and I paid for overnight shipping.
I've received 3 seperate series of emails
1st one states its been shipped with a tracking number
Then right behind it a second email comes saying order is on hold
So I have 3 tracking numbers and 3 emails saying "on hold"
Hell, I dont even remember what I ordered now but it may, or may not be in the mail.Originally posted by dexter9659Its all the nitrogen in the cat poo that gives the high performance. Im sure Hornady will soon be coming out with a similar load.Comment

yeah, i think they drop ship a lot of stuff from different warehouses. i now they have a separate warehouse or a thing with blackhawk where that stuff comes from one location that is separate from other brands.Well, this was my first order from them so probably not a fair rating, but so far they appear to be idiots.

Optics Planet is to optics what Zappos is to shoes. I like Zappos, they have great service and fast shipping, but it's only shoes I'm buying. There isn't any neighborhood or dedicated shoe stores where I live, nor is your right to wear shoes being decided by the Supreme Court.
All you guys are to OP is money. They don't shoot, they don't support the
2nd Amendment, and if guns were outlawed, and there was no market for riflescopes, they would march on because of all the business they get from the hikers, birdwatchers, moongazers, etc. Being that you are shooters, I'm not sure why you would want to support a McStore. I mean, as gunowners, the politicians and bureaucrats won't take care of us (as you know well in Cali), the non-shooting citizens won't help us, and dozens upon dozens of big businesses donate millions to anti-gun groups to get rid of us. All we have is each other. Where does OP stand on the RKBA??? Their being based in northern Illinois, I can guess.
Will your email contact at OP know if you need a 20MOA base on a Remy 700 308 with a 20 inch barrel shooting 1000 yards with 168 grain match with a Lupy 8.5-20x50 Mark 4 scope, or what height rings would be needed to clear the barrel? More importantly, would they care?
I know it seems like I'm picking on OP, but the fact is it seems like a large chunk of the shooting fraternity spends a lot of $$$ with them. There are other stores of a similar mold, like Camera Land, New York City. Another business owned by non-shooting and non-hunting folks, located in the middle of a liberal bastion, selling untold number of riflescopes to shooters every year.
That's really too bad.
Sure, if you tried a few pro-gun stores for your item and no one has it in stock, by all means, if OP has it, get what you need, when you need it. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
But for riflemen to routinely shop at a place like that does not speak well for us, IMHO.
As an American, you have the freedom to choose where you shop, and it really is none of my business. But you really should think of the big picture in this day and age. The shooting fraternity should take care of its own.
Thanks,

I do not carry Millett scopes, just their rings. If you are who I talked to earlier today, thanks for the opportunity to serve, sorry we couldn't help you today. Best of luck in your quest. Let me know if I can ever be of service again.
