50-100yds I'd stick with irons. If you aren't competing and it's just a range toy, then just K.I.S.S.

OP said he didn't want a scope, he said he wanted to shoot 50-100 yards from a bench. Tell me one budget priced optic that works better then irons at those ranges?

Using gun control to stop crime is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline!
You don't have to get permission to exercise a RIGHT. If you have to get permission or can be told no by the government it is no longer a right. IT IS A PRIVILEGE!

Hi, I am looking for a decent set of optics for my ar, it will be a range gun, not for competition, i am looking to spend no more than $150 ,.... I will be mainly using a 50-100 yard range so no need for a scope good for 100+ yards.
Any recomendations (any type of optics good for 50-100yards)ThanksHe said he wants optics...try the Nikon M series for a nice "budget" scope. I like my M223 1-4x.
