I disagree completely. I have 4 nikons and 1 Burris that are all under $300. They all have good to excellent glass and reliable and repeatable adjustments. Is there some feature in scopes that I am missing? The idea that you must spend $500 minimum is absurd.

Hi, I am looking for a decent set of optics for my ar, it will be a range gun, not for competition, i am looking to spend no more than $150 ,.... I will be mainly using a 50-100 yard range so no need for a scope good for 100+ yards.

He said he wants optics...try the Nikon M series for a nice "budget" scope. I like my M223 1-4x.

Use irons until you're ready to spend $500. You won't find an optic that works better then your irons until that price point.

thanks, i looked at a few sights, ima just throw on a cheap $50 dot sight until i can spend $$$ on a Eotech

A few people mentioned the Bushnell trs-25.

Vortex Strikefire is a good one. Comes with a screw on 2x magnifier that works ok if you want to add a bit of magnification. Bushnell TRS-25 is also good. I own both.

I was in a similar situation as you... I ended up going a different route, but look into the Burris Fullfield 2 2-7x. It has great reviews and looks to be a great scope.

Its close to the end of your budget, maybe even past, but definitely worth it.
