Has anyone noticed the current lack of availability of the green lasers from makers like Crimson Trace? I've had one on backorder for several months now.

Red all the way. Green didn't impress me. Go to a store and try both and see what ur eyes prefer.

Green for me! I have astigmatism and when I first tried the red dot, it was very blurry so I exchanged it for a green dot and although it was still blurry, it wasn't as bad as the red dot. The green dot, during the day outside, you can see it better as compared to the red dot outside in daylight.

Green red dot sight sounds like an oxymoron.

I have heard that, but my green trijicon scope dot stood out well enough even in HI.
