I have astigmatism and there is no doubt that GREEN works better for me than the red....assuming the quality of the dot is “equal”.
I had a Holosun 507c red, the astigmatism made it fairly unusable with no glasses on....like a 4 out of 10 clarity. With glasses on, it was better, but perhaps a 7 out of 10 clarity.
With a 507c green dot, the dot is like a 7 out of 10 without glasses, and a 9/10 with glasses on. I sold the red one and now have two greens.
It is scientific fact that the human eye picks up GREEN better.
DON’T listen to Master Prestige....it’s his common rail against non-U.S. products
. I had a RMR before....it malfunctioned, lost the dot, and was unusable. The Holosuns have been great, and have better features like longer battery life, reticle options, and Shake Awake motion instant ‘ON’. A friend dropped his handgun from the shooting table onto concrete and dinged the Holosun housing, but the dot worked fine and did not lose zero.
I also use a Vortex Spitfire prism sight on my rifles....removes the astigmatism issue
