Which red dot for PC carbine?

I recently just jailed a Ruger PC Carbine and in the market to find a red dot. My price range was anything under $200 and I narrowed it down to these three choices as they seem to be the most popular for my budget.

Just reaching out to see if any of you guys who have personally had these red dots can provide more information to steer my decision on which one I should purchase.

As I recall the Sig Romeo5 is manufactured by Holosun so there's not much difference there.

I'm not familiar with the Vortex but they've got a solid rep although the Crossfire line is kind of their budget line. I do note that of the three the Vortex is the only one that doesn't list it's battery life.

I own two of the Holosun HS403B red dots and like them, solid, simple and they work. Can't ask much more than that.

Something to consider is the battery access. The Vortex's battery is accessible without removing the sight although those coin cover things are a PITA. The Sig and Holosun HS403A need to be dismounted to replace the battery.

I like the Holosun HS403B, it comes with a high and low mount and the battery is in a tray on the so no dismount is necessary to change the battery every five years.

I ran a holosun and they work great. I have upgraded to a c-more sight now but I compete and the bigger sight picture is a whole lot faster to pick up. But you cant go wrong with the holosun.

I can't help you with the three you mentioned, but I am running FastFire 3 on my PC Carbine without any problem. It is in your price range and comes with picatiny base.

Saw the Burris at my LGS and was priced at $300 but now looking online I see it barely makes at exactly $200. I did like the small profile of this option. Mind sharing a pic of your setup?

Bushnell TRS-25 for $50?

If you must, the Vortex Viper and Venom are excellent choices, although they are bottom mount for batteries.

What's your application? What size dot are you looking for? Big difference between steel challenge and 3-gun for example.

I don't compete so it would be used for range and HD. I expect 2-3 MOA would do the job

So does mine. I still own about five TRS though inciuding the one on my PCC. It seems perfect for the application. I have some Burris FF3 but a little small for this application IMO. I have some EOTech XPS models but they are overkill for a 50yd carbine.

I find it hard to believe most other tube style dots in the $200-$300 range are going to be appreciably better than the TRS on this gun. Someday I'll try a Holosun just to find out for sure.

The bottom right corner contains the projector and hinders the full circle view (you can see it in SkyHawk's photo), but on the PCC, it doesn't matter. It really only hinders AR height sights using 1/3 cowitness.
