just an FYI, Since iFixit and myself shared a computer, he is renting a room from me for a few months, his account was banned. It was my fault, he isnt computer savvy, so I set his account up not realizing we can only have one account... which is hilarious since most guys have at least 1 troll account..but I digress. My fault.

iFixit has told me the company who makes this device is funded in a way by CAA, FAB Defense and the Mako group (which has many names, like Leapers has many names as well). While many of these companies offer items to the IDF, that doesnt mean everything is up to US Military standards. There are several competing contract groups in Israel. They both compete and cooperate depending on profit forecast. This is why you will see this on a CAA roni or on a Fab Defense commercial advertisement. Think of the Hartmen ltd company part of CAA.

Just like Leapers makes UTG and several items for NC Star, many of the companies in Israel do not manufacturer their own stuff. They design it and send it out to be made or design it and have the parts made somewhere else to be sent back to them and assembled in a plant sometimes not even in the country they are in.

So CAA has a second holding company called Hartmen ltd, they are a small office of guys who designed this device. They send the prints to someone, who contacts Leapers, or NC Star or whoever to make the parts, the parts are then shipped to a final assembly plant.

If done right, there is no problem with this. Both Leapers and NC Star have very good QA when you pay them to have good QA.

If you think Hartmen ltd is like L3 (Eotech) who design, manufacturers and assembles their stuff, think again.

Hartmen was a guy who joined the IDF, hooked up with CAA and designed this optic.

Hartman is not an electronics engineer.
Hartman is not an optical engineer.
Hartman ltd is not an optical manufacturing company.
Hartman ltd is not an electronics manufacturing company.

I have never held one, seen one for myself nor played with one. ifixit says he has and I have no reason to believe him to be a liar.

He says its big, (as others do), He says its like an EOTech, (from the pictures I agree with him) and he says its no different then any other reflex sight on the market, but might be more robust due to the shell.

The hostility you spoke about from newer members is bred from the contempt displayed by "old" members like you...the ones who lash out at the newbie...calling him n00b and referring to their lowly post count...I see it far too often around here. It takes a thicker skin that most don't have...it's a reason why most newer members who get called out quit posting, unfortunately.

I just post twice a day to amuse people like you who go fishing in someone's public profile looking for dirt to toss...one day I'll reach Couch's total and people like you won't post ***** talk. Unfortunately you're the pot calling the kettle black, but whatever dude, have you had your fill yet? LMAO
I really don't understand why you think I have contempt towards you just because you have low post count or since your a newer member. The only reason I posted a reply to you is because you posted about me having been here a while and having 1200 posts so I should know everything. I commented about how much you've posted which is a lot for being here 1 year. So where exactly are you getting that I'm belittling your post count? I clearly said post count does not automatically equal knowledge and never touted my post count as making me "better" or "more knowledgeable" than you. You appear to be stuck on the whole post count thing like it means something. You mentioned me fishing in your public profile, you do realize that it is displayed who views your profile right? Do you see me in that list? I think not...you seem to be confused.

Time for you to crawl back in your hole for a couple more years, you're starting to post 7 lines deep...that's frowned upon on forums.

Whatever ball busting you're trying to have fun with will have to be a lot more energetic...I'm loosing interest...

When folks a lot more gentle minded than *****hats like me get a raw deal from the "old time" members you miss so dearly; that's when post counts are brought up...never by the n00b...always by the long timer

Personally...if you cared to know...I think forums should do away with post counts

But then around here peeps will claim no ability to vett member sales and purchases of several hundred/thousand dollar weapons...

Ah well, the good the bad and the ugly will continue around here

The only guy making out right now is the OP...he hasn't needed to get involved in this cause it has nothing to do with his optic...

But then you're the one who jumped into this thread with an opening line that had nothing to do with the optic...and everything to do with newer members

I see that many of the old school fellas don't post much anymore or have left...
Edit...and really that why I posted again...to troll on you
