Wow, I've heard about Calguns turning into a forum full of hostile members. It appears to be true that these newer members are ruining what is supposed to be a way for gun loving guys/girls to get together and share experiences/info/learn. I see that many of the old school fellas don't post much anymore or have left. That's a shame since they took quite a bit of knowledge with them. Instead we get expert bullsh1t from valuable members like ifixit that clearly explains how we don't want this "Eotech body with NC Star internals" this is just priceless. Apparently the size of this optic is unreal, we don't want this since only real navy seals can handle something of this size.
OP, I'll be honest I don't know much about this optic but I was interested at first. It caught my eye since they advertised having the largest field of view. One of the main features I want is decent enough battery life to be able to leave the optic on and ready to use at all times. My other preference is for a reticle that my eyes will pick up quickly which is why I used nothing but Eotechs for a long time. I lost interest in the Hartman mainly because I can't find any mention of battery life. I think the reticle is great and if the battery life can last at least 1 year then I'm buying one to see how I like it. I make it a habit to change all batteries on my optics on the day after New Years when I'm recovering from my hangover. I used to use nothing but Eotechs but switched to Aimpoints to be able to have an always ready optic. I really miss the Eotech reticle and can definitely tell a difference in target acquisition speed. So since then I've been in a quest to find the best of both worlds. Im currently interested in the new Vortex but it's the same damn thing with them, no mention of battery life whatsoever. Not sure what to think, if these companies are holding back battery life specs then when they finally release it I'm going to think it's a BS inflated number. I'm not going throw money at companies just to find out they fluffed certain specs to sell products. Well, sorry I didn't have much info on the Hartman but just something to think about.
