It's pretty cheap, only $400 right? What does it do that's better than a trijicon MRO, Aimpoint Pro, Aimpoint H1, Eotech anything, bushnell trs25, holoson, primary arms(whatever), or even an israeli mepro?

If you want something that isn't made in the USA that doesn't cost as much... It won't have quality. Buy US for political (or social) reasons in that case.

I believe your decision is correct, I've heard that hawthorn optic has been excellent and is well liked for the features and cost.

So anyone that likes to build different rifles and choose different optics than aimpoint or eotech are operators now huh?

thcrusadr, I'm sorry that those of us posting here cannot contribute pertaining the use of said optic.

There's a reason why you haven't received any direct feedback and why others are recommending proven alternatives (at a lower price point mind you).

If you purchase it, do the forum a favor and contribute your hands on experience.

1. Fit and finish, compare to whatever you own. It would help to compare it to something within the same price range and achieves the same goal.

2. Clarity of glass, again comparing it to what you own (or have experience with). It would help to utilize this sight at first dawn, daylight bright shooting, and low-light or even evening shooting.

3. How sharp is the reticle? Compare it when adjusting the reticle brightness. Reticles on cheaper sights tend to turn hazy when turned up to max brightness; sometimes you need that max brightness when it's bright out anyway.

4. Does the rifle balance well? Aimpoints are not only popular because they're robust and offer great clarity, they're light as hell too.

I could go on about what makes a good optic worth their price tag, but can't with this particular optic. That's where you come in and take your chances and post your findings. Or you could go with one of our recommendations and ensure you're getting a good buy
