Enjoyed reading all the recommendations for the HD7. I just placed an order for a black one and an FDE one for my next ar15 and ar10 projects. Excited to have something ACOG-like that doesn't cost a fortune, although I'll probably still buy a 308 version ACOG at some point. After using one for so long, it's hard to go back to anything else on my primary shooters
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Surprised no one mentioned the Monstrum prism scope at this price-point.

Aside from all the "hater"ade, decent reviews from CGers who actually own one.

It's really freaking heavy, almost a whole pound. Nice price, but damn!

Looks like the HD7 is getting a lot of love. I recall reading somewhere that the FOV is obstructed by the controls and it's bulky size. This was in comparison to an MD-06. That's probably my biggest concern now, but I don't think it'll be a major issue.

I still love it, but to be honest, I've only taken it out once in the past two years because I was in Afghanistan for 18 months and used my EOTech 512 daily while there.

How did you like the 512? A had been looking at one of those for my Benelli M4 shotgun for a while, curious to hear from an actual user

Thanks for your service. It seems like a great optic, especially considering the sub $200 price tag. It's currently on the top of my list. The only thing that'll take it's place is a prism RDS with an etched reticle...but nothing in the sub $200 category fits that description.

I'm a pretty big fan of their CS - I had an issue with a gifted rail, their rep asked me if I wanted to cover the difference for an upgraded, keymod version of the rail; he valued mine at it's original price, and the keymod at sale price. I'd rather spend the extra ~$60 and get something with a chevron reticle though.

Alright, about to pull the trigger (pun clearly intended) on the HD7. Any last minute suggestions? As far as I can tell, it's one of the best optics in the sub $200 price range.
I was looking at the Bushnell AR Optic, but not too sure about that one.

Stick with a RD, or go with a prism optic?

                      Edit: Ignore this
